The web is a great big place, and eceria understands the need to meet your fellow travelers. We are dedicated to making the software to bring people together.

Started with the goal of making a single dating website back in November of 2000, eceria has expanded to create a customizable social networking system for common-man needs.

By using a bullet-proof core software, and expanding with any number of add-on modules, users can create just the type of website they need.

History of the software

Originally developed back in 2000, the software was very single-minded; make it work for a single online site. Over the years, the core software has been improved for stability and configurablity. The software is already up to it's third revision with a much anticipated 3.5 release coming this summer. With new speed and integration abilities it's sure to be well received by all members.

New validation scheme

But there has always been a road block in getting member fully registered in the software; the validation process.

So at the end of June there will be a new process--a simple CAPTCHA test. For those who don't know what that means, it's the squiggly-letter thing. It is becoming a very popular way for websites to validate that a real human is signing up instead of an automated script. You will be shown two words that are a little hard to read. Just type in the two words and poof--you're in!

Hopefully with this step being simplified, the software will become more inviting, or at least easier for new members to join your community.

Spam-a-lot!

Due to so much spam being generated from having administration emails all over the place, a new "Contact Us" module was created.

By diverting all correspondence through this module, it becomes easier to track member's complaints and suggestions. It becomes an integrated support ticket system.

Through sorting an admin can quickly log in and handle a batch of similar issues in one stroke. Also, all emails are attached to a member's history so quickly monitor all conversations.
